Netherlands: Kinderdijk and Rotterdam

September 14th - DAY 3

For a slice of classic Holland, we’re heading to the Kinderdijk, an area about 15km east of Rotterdam that has been classified as a UNESCO world heritage site, to see some windmills. On our way back, we’ll check out some of the modern architecture in Rotterdam that has been built to replace the many buildings destroyed in WWII. What’s a day without extremes?
